As writers, we obsess over coming up with the perfect place names for whatever fictional settings we're developing. They must be creative, they must be beautiful, they must be brilliant!

In contrast, not all real-life places have the most unique names. Some of them are surprisingly simplistic. And, in some cases, they may not seem very creative. Below are a few of these.
