New Job

So, back in late June, I had an interview with Taco Bell. Seemed to go okay.
The next day, I was going about my day, and at some point checked my phone to discover I had a missed call from Taco Bell. Called them back, and they said they were going to offer me the job.
Me? Actually getting a job? This must be a parallel universe.
Anyway, the manager said she was going to e-mail me some forms and such to fill out. I followed the link in the e-mail, and spent a while going through things. Then, remembering she said during the interview that I'd need a food handlers card, I looked up the website and went through a bunch of videos and quizzes, followed by the final test. Then I got the actual card, or rather, a pretty file for me to print out. We don't have a printer, so I figured I'd get that done later.

Reasons to Be Jealous of Your Characters

Let's face it, sometimes your characters just lead awesome lives. Meanwhile, you're about as thrilling as dry toast in comparison. Even the most minor characters are more interesting than you, the dry toast writer. We often find that we envy our characters, who are shooting arrows with uncanny accuracy, and riding off into the sunset on a dragon. Today's post is about those characters we so dearly want to be, and the reasons we long to trade places with them.

Things to Do at Work

Ah, the workplace. A realm filled with people, tasks to do, and the mystery of where that puddle in the corner came from. A spill, perhaps? Did someone mop, and somehow the excess liquid collected in a dip in the floor? Is there an invisible crack in the wall that leaked water?
But I digress. Today's post is about the many things that a person may experience during a work day.
