Sometimes you come across some truly bizarre sights. Whether it's on the streets, in a store, or on the bus, weird things are occasionally spotted. This week, we'll explore some examples of this.
While in the car with a friend and her mother, we ended up behind a vehicle that was hauling a trailer. On the trailer was an old sedan, except that it was lifted and had huge wheels, like you see in some of the large pickup trucks. Her mother theorized that it might be for some sort of event going on in the area.
Also, once her mother's car broke down and had to be towed to a repair shop. There was a problem with the tow truck partway through the journey, and another truck had to be called out. So it wound up being a Jeep, being towed by a truck, being towed by another truck, to the intended destination. I wish I had seen it myself. I'm sure plenty of other people found it a strange sight.
Once, I was at my aunt's house, sitting on the sofa. You could see the street from the living room window, and I happened to notice someone walk by, carrying a dog igloo over them so all you could see of the person was their legs.
My mother and I were running errands one day, and I saw a guy strolling down the sidewalk in a 'Scream' costume. The sneakers and soft drink cup were the only normal thing about his appearance. Note that it was nowhere near Halloween at the time.
Later, the 'Scream' man came into a store while we were checking out. When we returned to the car, I noticed the guy heading back through the parking lot again.

My friend knows a guy who walks around their college campus wearing a yokai-reaper costume, complete with a mask and scythe, just to freak people out. Once, someone was walking along, saw him in his bizarre getup, then turned around and headed in the opposite direction.
Along with things that I or people I know have seen, here are some interesting images I've found online.
Bob the Street Cat lies across James Bowen's shoulders. A fairly typical way of travelling for them. Imagine seeing this guy strolling down the sidewalk, a ginger tabby perched atop his shoulder. |
Real-life Nintendogs. |
Welcome to the airport, where you find a wide variety of people. Including a couple who think wearing watermelon halves on their heads is the latest fashion. |
Maybe there's broken glass in his yard, and he's trying to clean it up? |
Nothing to see here, just a 6-7 foot tall centaur. And in the background, you can see a head turned towards the odd sight. |
I feel bad for this dog. You can tell they're terrified of falling from this precarious position. |
While trying to find a better-quality image of this, I discovered a similar article about a dog who kept climbing on his owner's roof. |
