How to Tell if You're a Computer Addict

We spend a lot of time glued to screens. Whether TV, computer, or phone, we are obsessed with the little glowing rectangles and squares. In this post, I've included a list of warning signs that an individual may spend too much time in front of a computer.

  1. You click the mouse so much, it occasionally becomes an involuntary movement.
  2. Your neck is sore from bending your head over a laptop.
  3. You can't understand those people who don't own or like computers.
  4. You lead a more exciting life on a chat board or virtual world than you do in reality.
  5. At least eighty percent of your day is spent typing or moving a mouse.
  6. You have become a connoisseur of good computer mice, and have a specific preference between mechanical, optical, and laser mice.
  7. Your chatting skills are better than your conversational skills.
  8. When you can't find the right formatting button while doing something online, you switch to Nerd Mode and manually type in the HTML tags.
  9. A common nightmare of yours is when you dream your computer dies or gets a bad malware infection.
  10. While on the computer, someone asks if you tried the cupcake they gave you, and you say distractedly, "No, I haven't clicked on it yet."
  11. When it becomes necessary to spend hours creating a simple GIF.
  12. When you waste time creating memes on Photoshop or Microsoft Paint.
