The Snake

We used to live in a rural area, so there was a lot of wildlife. One day, my parents saw something interesting. A hawk swooped down and took a snake. It was flying away with its meal when a second hawk appeared, trying to steal the snake.

They began fighting with each other, and the snake was dropped in the process. In the scuffle, they apparently forgot about the food they were fighting over. The body remained uneaten, and lay on the ground for a long while.
