Animals That Shouldn't Be Pets

We've heard many stories of people keeping exotic animals as pets. While some of these creatures have their cuteness or coolness factor, they're don't necessarily make good pets. In fact, you sometimes come across tales of exotic pet ownership gone wrong. Today's post discusses some of the animals that perhaps shouldn't be kept as pets.

Flaws in Romance Stories

Here's a random thought and something to chew on. If you really think about it, a lot of romance plots actually have some pretty big flaws. Unhealthy relationships, the love interests making poor choices...

We don't often think about the issues with some of the fictionalized relationships we come across. But when we look more closely, we realize these romances aren't as great as they seem.

Our relationship is founded on deception and an utter lack of communication, but we're the perfect couple.

Problems With the 'Harry Potter' Series

The wizarding world of Harry Potter, created by J.K. Rowling, has grown to be extremely popular. First the 'Harry Potter' books and the movie adaptations, then the 'Fantastic Beasts' films later on.

Of course, as much as I love the stories, I will admit there are a few flaws here and there. Today's post explores some of these issues. (Note that this post will contain a number of spoilers, so be warned.)

Back at High School... Again

Recently, I dreamed that I was in high school, and it was the start of the year. First period was history, I think. The teacher was British, and seemed like a pretty cool guy. He was interesting, and made the class seem fun. He was talking for a while, and at one point said something like, "Everyone knows the legend of..." and it was a British legend involving someone slaying a dragon.

Saying 'Good Riddance' to 2020

2020 was a crummy year, that's for sure. March felt like an entire millennium, and we wondered if that month would ever be over. From there, it seemed like time flew past, and before we knew it, December was coming to an end. Yet at the same time, we look back at the year, and it seems like an eternity since it started. It feels like we've been in the age of masks forever, in the age of arguments and dissent, the age of no toilet paper in the stores because it's out of stock.

I've been telling people that years from now, students will be studying this in history classes. 2020 will probably have its own chapter to itself, because so much happened. It'll be long descriptions of sickness and quarantine, hoarding and riots, anger and division. The chapter ought to be called '2020 Stunk'. Or perhaps 'Year of Hell'. It's an accurate description, and a 'Star Trek' reference, all rolled into one.
