The other day, my brother had just come home, and I was at the front door, watching as he got out of the car. As I waited for him to come in, I noticed a quail wandering around nearby. My brother started heading towards the house, and the quail moved away from him.

But instead of going down the street, like any logical creature, the quail was running in the same direction he was headed. Here I am, standing in an open doorway, and this quail starts hopping up the front porch steps. I made a shooing motion with my hand, imagining if this birdbrain tries to come into the house, and the quail took off in a flurry of wings.
So, yeah. Apparently I summon quail. I mean, in what universe is "There's a human. I should move towards the other human." an acceptable form of logic?
