Bugzilla

Yes, that's its official name. It was huge. It was ugly. It was the most horrifying, terrible thing ever to crawl into our house.
Okay, so my description seems a bit melodramatic. But if you saw it, you'd feel the same way. Prepare yourselves, because this week, I'm telling the tale of the enormous bug that somehow appeared in our house. Just when you thought your home was safe...
One evening, my mother and I were sitting in the living room. We lived in a rural area, so bugs occasionally appeared in the house. (I especially hated the scorpions.)
However, when I turned to look at Mom, nothing could have prepared me for the sight I beheld. On the wall was a centipede. But not just any centipede. It must have been at least six inches long, maybe more like eight. Two enormous pointy things were on its rear end. (Apparently this feature is actually the rear pair of legs, but to me it looked like a pair of giant stingers or something.)

Centipede
Seriously, what is it with centipedes and their freaky-looking back legs? They're like evil pincers, a forked tail that brings death, or something. They're just... (shudder)

Upon pointing it out to Mom, we had the challenge of figuring out how to get rid of the monster. Mom finally solved the problem by grabbing a long cobweb duster. She got the horrible creature on the brush, then threw the duster outside. And there it sat, on our deck, for months. No joke. Mom was in no hurry to bring it into the house again.
As to what happened to Bugzilla, we may never be certain. Some say the bug crept back to Mordor where it resides today. Other rumors state that the monster centipede appeared in Japan and attempted to destroy the capital.
Stay safe, my friends. And beware the Jabberwock of jumbo-sized arthropods.
