Mysteries of Christmas

There are many mysteries surrounding the holiday season. Here are a few of the unanswered questions and strange events we often find ourselves wondering about.

Christmas tree with lights and ornaments

  1. When you take out the Christmas lights, they're often tangled, though you had put them away neatly and carefully.
  2. Though all the Christmas lights were working last year, some of the bulbs are dead now.
  3. With all the technological advancements, the Christmas lights die at a phenomenal rate. Mayflies have a longer life span than those things sometimes.
  4. The Christmas tree, whether fake or real, sheds so many needles, you wonder how it's not bare yet.
  5. Long after the Christmas decorations are gone, you're still finding tree needles and tinsel everywhere.
  6. If you want to hang something on the wall, you can't find nails, hooks, or anything else to assist you.
  7. If you're Christmas shopping for someone who's in the store, you always end up in the same area as they are, no matter how hard both of you try to avoid the other.
  8. If you have a list of what someone wants for Christmas, you can't find half the things on the list.
  9. You buy a present for someone, then realize someone else had the same idea.
  10. Everybody within an eighty-mile radius gave you similar presents, so you now have enough scarves and hats for an army.
