Some time ago, I made a blog post about things you might find at a second-hand store, like tap shoes and drum sets. Today, I'll be showcasing interesting, weird, and random things I've seen in book sales at my local library.
Car Manuals
Just in case anyone needed an owner's manual for their 1986 El Dorado. You're supposed to keep it with your car at all times, but it seems that particular manual got separated from its mate.
Manuals For Old Computer Programs
The number of great big books for archaic computer programs is astounding. I wonder how often the accompanying software actually gets donated with it. Anyway, here's some examples of vintage software manuals.

Microsoft Word, version 5.0. For use with IBM Personal Computers and Compatibles, and for the IBM Personal System/2 Series.

This came out in 1998. Newer than the previous program, but still kind of outdated.

Not sure which version this is, but I'm guessing it's 20-30 years old.
'The Naked Roommate'
Wait, what? Apparently, someone wrote a book for people going to college. It contains valuable information about just about everything you might need to know about the college experience.
Dance Videos
My local library also has DVDs and CDs. I usually don't find anything of interest to me in the CDs, but sometimes I can find some cool DVDs. And occasionally, some unusual ones. Like a video that teaches you some choreographed dances... for Biblical feasts? All righty, then.
Signed First Editions
The last time I went to a library book sale, I picked up yet another Patrick McManus book, a hardcover of 'The Good Samaritan Strikes Again'. Later on, I went to read it, and noticed something interesting about the first page.
I don't know who Bob is, but apparently he lucked out, because he must have been at a signing for McManus's latest book. If you want an example of a cool book sale find, how about a signed first edition?
That's about it for this blog post, unless I add more to it in future. The library does keep having book sales, after all. Check back in a couple of weeks, when my next blog post comes out.
