Paloma and the Junk Food Quandary

Some time back, my aunt got a new dog, a tan and white chihuahua named Paloma. She was raising a litter of puppies, and once they were weaned, my aunt would take Paloma home. We got the impression she'd had multiple litters and was getting tired of it all, because she seemed in a hurry to wean those pups as soon as possible.
She was also a shameless beggar. I mean, sometimes the dog was absolutely pitiful. Especially when someone had fast food. You'd be eating a burger and fries, and she'd whine and cry like she was starving to death and the sight of you eating was torture. A bit dramatic there, dog.

The Mutt Manifestation

As we get into the dog days of summer, I thought I'd tell a story about dogs. A story of animal magnetism. A story about manifesting a million dogs.
So, I was taking a walk at the park the other day. While I was wandering around, I called someone and chatted with them for a while. It had been a while since we talked, so we had a bit to catch up on. Sometime during the phone conversation, I saw a man playing fetch with his dog. He threw the toy, and the dog went running after it. But instead of heading back towards its owner, the dog went in a different direction. The man tried to call his pet over, but the dog proceeded to come up to me instead. I pet it for a minute, until the man succeeded in getting his dog's attention. The guy was apologetic, but I wasn't bothered, because I got to pet a dog.

Scruffy black terrier mix with a white blaze on its chest. It has a blue eye and a brown eye, and is on a leash, sitting next to a woman.
